I miss......

I miss:

Mom
and her wonderful cuisine

My ever active Dad and his disgusted look directed at me. (when I used to fritter away the time in a pointless manner during college and high school)

Brother and our epic battles in the bedrooms that used to drive our mom crazy.

The silly giggles resulting in big guffaws during prayer time in school. (Often resulted in kneeling down before the principal’s office…lol)

My majestic motorcycle, with which I blazed on the road, and once too often bothered the police.

The excitement of driving the wrong direction in a one way road, and increasing the throttle of my bike to race ahead of the policeman when ordered to stop.

The milk man whom I used to curse when he used ring the bell as early as 5 AM

The early morning marathon sprints to the railway station with Bryan (Kripa) to catch the train.

The look on our faces every morning before the exam.

The Chemical Engineering gang! (We invited trouble everyday when running the mouths into anyone who crossed our way).

The thrill of sharing answers in the exam hall and rejoicing the achievement of fooling the invigilator after the test.

The cheap thrill of screwing up a machine in the lab and putting the blame on the management for giving substandard equipment.

The pleasure of traveling the train on a footboard and making unruly comments of anyone on the way.

The fiery competition in the street cricket games, followed by chocolate milk to shake the rivalry off.

The verbal assaults with my ever quarrelsome neighbor, who complained whenever we played on the street.

The fun and frolic with my roomies and friends in Morgantown, WV

And finally…

The people whom I liked and lost
